One afternoon, while walking through an old building we hoped might become the future home of Fizz + Franks, we happened to look up.

There, tucked into the rafters, hung the steel frame of a handmade ultralight airplane.

It wasn't polished or complete. It was dusty. Forgotten. Beautiful.

Someone had spent countless hours welding tubing, fitting ribs, and imagining flight. And there it was—quietly suspended where a dream had once begun.

We never bought that building, but somehow we couldn't leave that airplane behind.

Something about that moment stayed with us. It reminded us that the best things are built with optimism, craftsmanship, and a dream.

Somehow, that little airplane came to represent so much of what we hoped to build with Fizz + Franks.

A Dream of Flight

We realized we weren't just creating a place to grab a drink or a hot dog.

We were creating a place for little departures.

Not the kind that take you across the country, but the little departures and detours that happen every day—a drive home after work. A Friday night with friends. The start of a family road trip. A simple stop that becomes part of the story.

Those ordinary moments have a way of becoming the ones that stay with us. The little details that matter.

That's why our hot dogs are named for destinations. Why our crew welcomes you aboard. Why little reminders of flight are tucked into every corner.
